Membership
Members of the English Goethe Society are entitled to attend the Society's meetings in London, the schedule for which is posted to members each September. Meetings usually consist of a talk followed by discussion with the speaker. Before the talk members are invited to join the speaker for a glass of sherry.
The Society also organizes conferences, for which members are entitled to preferential rates.
Members receive the Society's journal PEGS (see contents here) twice yearly as part of their entitlement. Subscriptions, payable at the beginning of the calendar year, are currently £18 (or £9 for students), $50 for North America, and £27 for the rest of the world.
